#CMGRHangout presents: Connecting with Your Community

As community professionals, we learn how to connect with almost everyone we meet, but it isn’t always easy. From topics that aren’t core to who you are, to cultural differences, to generational gaps, we are constantly on our toes and looking for common ground. The good news is, as we work on this core skill of connecting, it becomes so natural we instead need to remind ourselves not to relate to every story our friends and family are trying to tell us when “off duty.”

Join us for this week’s #CMGRHangout panel on Friday, April 10th at 2pm EDT to trade stories and tips for connecting with your community.

+Jonathan Brewer, +Dom Garrett and +Sherrie Rohde will be hosting the Hangout with +Chris Barrows, +David DeWald, +Christin Kardos and +Teri Kojetin as panelists. +Carrie Keenan and +Sarah Nagel will be moderating the Twitter chat using #CMGRHangout.

How to Lead and Influence Change

You know for several years we have actually held the majestic eagle as our indicator of a good leader. It soars so high over everyone else, has a beautiful wingspan, eyes that can see it’s target from miles away as well as uncanny precision in getting it’s food. Certainly a leader. Certainly something we ought to admire as well as look up to. Most definitely the means we should be if we intend to lead, right? Wrong!

Yet, I’m Servicing a New Generation

What do you suggest … “yet?” “I am an item of my generation,” was to let you believe about where you were birthed, in what type of an atmosphere as well as under what type of condition. What happens if I was birthed in the nineteenth century somewhere in 1860? If you transform this up-side-down you obtain an additional statement: although I am a product of my time; I am servicing a brand-new generation.

An Invitation to Change

Several organization proprietors will certainly claim that expanding their service is simple during these times. Nonetheless, when times are softer and they have to pull the business in they do not do too. Several actually struggle.

Change Mastery – Being Real at Work – The Fastest Path to Inner Peace at Work

When I started my first business, over thirty years ago, I believed that the most effective way to make great cash was to be an overall bastard. Every possibility I obtained I pressed the agreements in between me as well as my employees, I turned the line in between ethics and not. Component of this was since my customers were typically bastards as well. Yet it had not been long before I knew that this was at some point mosting likely to kill me.
