Community Moderation is always at the forefront of our minds as Community Managers. Back in January 2013, we had the honor of hosting a Community Manager Appreciation Day panel on Forums and Moderation with +Patrick O’Keefe and the +Emoderation team (http://communitymanagerappreciationday.com/schedule/forums-moderation/), but it’s been surfacing in so many of your questions that at the prompting of Jordan Reeves, we decided now is the time to host another moderation panel.
Whether you moderate your community, have an in-house moderation team, have a volunteer moderation team or outsource to a team like Emoderation, you probably have questions on moderation and you likely have experience on some level, so join us on this week’s #CMGRHangout panel on Friday, November 14th at 2pm EST!
+Dom Garrett and +Sherrie Rohde will be hosting the Hangout with +David DeWald, +Teri Kojetin, +Rachel Miller and +Jordan Reeves as panelists. We will also be moderating the Twitter chat using #CMGRHangout .
1. Who moderates your community?
2. How is moderation important for the health of your community?
3. How is moderation important for your brand’s reputation?
4. How do you handle a large group of negative posts?
5. When does legal play a role in moderation? How do you escalate?
6. How do you empower volunteers to moderate?
