#CMGRHangout presents: Communities & the Collaborative Economy

If you’ve been around the community space long, you’ve no doubt heard of both today’s panelists as well as the collaborative economy. By recommendation of +Patrick O’Keefe we were able to connect with +Bill Johnston who has worked extensively both in community building as well as the collaborative economy space launching successful online community initiatives that have connected over 10 million customers and realized upwards of $100 million in financial impact for the host organizations.

For this week’s #CMGRHangout , Bill has put together a fantastic panel to help us separate the hype and the opportunity in collaborative economies. With their guidance, we’ll be looking at the evolution of brand communities, from the early explorations through current state, and the key challenges and opportunities, how leadership needs to evolve from a mindset of liability to opportunity, how to develop a community ecosystem (crowd, community and collaboration), the role of reputation and marketplaces and how community can help with the disruptive forces organizations face – specifically, the sharing economy, the maker movement, IoT, digital transformation and more.

Join us for this week’s #CMGRHangout panel on Friday, May 15th at 2pm EDT to separate the noise from the signal and learn about opportunities in collaborative economies!

+Jonathan Brewer, +Dom Garrett and +Sherrie Rohde will be hosting the hangout with +Joe Cothrel, +Randy Farmer and +Bill Johnston as panelists. +Carrie Keenan and +Sarah Nagel will be moderating the Twitter chat using #CMGRHangout .
